Dreaming up a Girls Night

I am a lover of girly nights! Whether that be a night of crafts, movies, going out to dinner or shopping! I think it's important for girls to have their time with girls and let the boys have a night away too. Sometimes you need it. You need to just vent all your weeks frustrations with the girls who love you the most. Other times, you just want to have a good laugh and relax. I was thinking about doing something fun in the Spring (once the weather gets a bit warmer) to show my lovely gals just how much I love them. So, here's the plan!

First things first: invites and favors!!! I love this part! There are so many sites you can use for invitations these days. Shutterfly being one of them. However, in the future I hope to get some good practice on my new Bamboo touch and make them myself. For now, I will speak as though I lived in the perfect world. I wouldn't mind checking out these adorable invites by Night Owl Paper Goods or these handmade ones found on Creature Comforts. Of course with any tea party, you might want to take home some handmade tea bags and loose leaf tea! What a brilliant idea!

Let's not forget, the menu! I totally love the ideas given by
Mer Mag and Merriment Design . Tons of yummy recipes, so I've collected a few thoughts and ideas.

Now, this might not be important to some girls, but for me....well, let's just say it's kinda a small requirement! The outfit: a simple afternoon tea dress, of course!

No matter what you're hosting: tea party, birthday, anniversary, craft night, baby shower or engagement party, you might as well have fun with the planning! I find that this helps me get my thoughts out on paper and helps me stay more organized, which always ends with a successful party! I especially love hosting a fun get together with the girls, such as a feminine and intimate tea. We get to relax, catch up, have some laughs and talk about those things you can't with the boys. Plus, anything with some vintage inspiration never hurt anybody...let's go back to the days of old where having a cup of tea, some tasty treats and deep conversation were something of the norm! Let's face it, we need it after a long week!

  3. I love girly nights too! My wife and I are, well, always girly. However some nights will just have something yummy to drink, paint each others nails, have photo shoots, go shopping and spend time browsing. It's so blissful! There's no one else I'd rather spend all my time with. ^_^

Very neat! I live far away from my girls... so my girls night in/out is Lili and I! I miss grown ups! Have fun with the Bamboo tablet (which one did you get? I am seriously thinking of copycatting you)
PS: Awesome new banner! Love the colors, very "you"
